Норвежское издание The Barents Observer на недавних спутниковых снимках главной базы подводных лодок Северного флота России обнаружило целый комплекс защищенных подземных хранилищ с мощной системой охраны.

Взяв для сравнения снимки четырехлетней давности, специалисты издания выявили 60 новых арсеналов: 50 в Окольной губе, на главной ракетно-технической базе Северного флота, и 10 — в Гаджиево.

В Гаджиево базируются подлодки класса «Борей» и Delta-IV. К новым бункерам, где хранятся ядерные боеголовки, ведут подземные тоннели.

Часть сооружений все еще строится, большинство бункеров выглядят завершенными. Каждый из бункеров площадью 1000 квадратных метров защищен толстыми бетонными стенами, а также несколькими линиями защитных сооружений. Хранилища расположены в ста метрах друг от друга.

Неподалеку от особой «Территории № 4» расположены четыре бункера длиной 80 метров каждый. Одно такое сооружение может вместить 16 ракет «Булава» — основное вооружение новых подводных лодок класса «Борей».
