Продажей пейзажей, предположительно написанных Гитлером, занимался торговый дом Вайлдер. Мероприятие решили провести в Нюрнберге, оценив полотна от €19 тыс. до €45 тыс. также одним из лотов стало плетеное кресло со свастикой, якобы принадлежавшее Гитлеру пишет The Guardian.

Но покупателей на все эти лоты в итоге так и не нашлось. Посетители аукциона усомнились в авторстве работ. Кроме того, местные власти негативно отреагировали на эту «распродажу». Так, глава Нюрнберга Ульрих Мали назвал «дурным тоном» проведение аукциона в городе, где состоялся международный суд над руководителями фашистской Германии.
Кроме того, накануне мероприятия несколько полотен были изъяты для проверки на фальсификацию. Но в итоге эксперты не смогли доказать ни авторство, ни подделку. Дело в том, что, по мнению искусствоведов, художественный стиль Гитлера очень посредственен. В связи с отсутствием характерных маркеров в манере письма доказать на 100% авторство картин сложно — они похожи на многие другие любительские работы.
Ранее стало известно, что французские ученые вычислили точную дату и причину смерти Гитлера.
