В столичном зоопарке поселились амурские тигрицы из Пензы. Им по восемь месяцев. О пополнении сообщает Минский зоопарк.

В Минском зоопарке поселились две амурские тигрицы, сестры Ярослава и Василиса, это произошло 25 января. Тигрят доставили из Пензенского зоопарка. Сейчас им по восемь месяцев, взрослыми тигры станут в четыре−пять лет. В зоопарках амурские тигры могут жить до 20 лет.

— Как многие кошачьи, тигры ведут ночной образ жизни. В дневное время Ярослава и Василиса чаще всего прячутся в домике и наблюдают за посетителями, лежа у входа. В уличный вольер они выходят ближе к вечеру. Передвигаются полосатые красавицы бесшумно и отлично маскируются, сливаясь с искусственными скалами в вольере. Часто посетители проходят мимо, даже не замечая животных, — рассказывают в зоопарке.

Сообщается, что тигрята уже обжились на новом месте, едят с аппетитом, отзываются на клички и показывают характер. Кормят тигров говядиной в 14−15 часов.

Амурские тигры являются самыми крупными представителями кошачьих на Земле. Это редкий вид, он занесен в Международную красную книгу и находится под пристальным вниманием ученых. Так как амурские тигры живут в более холодных районах, чем их ближайший родственник — бенгальский тигр по кличке Саймон, шерсть у Ярославы и Василисы очень густая и пушистая, а уши гораздо меньше.
