Компания Feelreal создала приставку в виде маски-респиратора для шлемов виртуальной реальности, которая позволяет игрокам испытать реалистичные ощущения от погодных условий.
Похожий на респиратор девайс прикрепляется к нижней части VR-шлемов, и выделяет различные запахи, имитируя атмосферу игр и фильмов. Ароматические капсулы способны выдавать более 250 запахов. В числе заявленных ароматов — запахи цветов и растений, дым пороха и горящей резины.

Также приставка Feelreal оснащена нагревателями и кулерами для имитации погоды. Это позволяет ощутить ветер, дождь и другие климатические условия, в соответствии с увиденным на экране. Создание реалистичных ощущений дополняется эффектом вибрации. Для удобства приставка питается не от провода, а от аккумулятора, которого хватает на 4 часа беспрерывной работы.

Создатели заявили о совместимости приставки-респиратора с гарнитурами PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear VR, Oculus Go и HTC Vive. На сайте Feelreal уже открыт предзаказ, по которому игроки могут сделать взнос в краудфандинговую кампанию по сбору средств.
