Федеральное агентство воздушного транспорта России опубликовало приказ о допуске некоторых авиакомпаний к международным рейсам. Согласно документу, иркутская авиакомпания «ИрАэро» получила допуск на выполнение рейсов из Москвы в Гомель.

Летать можно будет с частотой 3 раза в неделю.

Ранее «ИрАэро» в Беларусь не летала.

В июне прошлого года впервые за 10 лет Гомель возобновил регулярное авиасообщение с Москвой. Рейсы в Домодедово и обратно выполняла российская авиакомпания S7 Airlines («Сибирь»). Трижды в неделю. Обе стороны строили радужные планы и не исключали, что российский лайнер в скором времени может летать и ежедневно. Однако 30 сентября со взлетной полосы в Гомеле улетел последний Embraer. О причинах окончания полетов не сообщалось. Вероятно, российской компании проект перестал приносить выгоду.

Вскоре федеральное агентство воздушного транспорта России опубликовало приказ, согласно которому уже другая авиакомпания Red Wings получила допуск на выполнение рейсов из Москвы в Витебск и Гомель с частотой полетов не более семи раз в неделю.
Но полеты так и не были выполнены.
