Вот уже пять лет в Гродно проходит марш, посвященный памяти жертв Холокоста. В середине марта в городе вспоминают людей, которые были убиты во время Второй мировой войны. Из почти 30 тысяч евреев, которые когда-то проживали в Гродно, после войны в живых осталось всего 200 человек. Два гродненских гетто были уничтожены 12 марта 1943 года.
Каждый год в любую погоду в середине марта в Гродно на месте бывшего гетто № 1 по улице Замковой собираются люди, чтобы почтить память погибших горожан. «Марш памяти» традиционно начинается у мемориальной доски, установленной около входа в гетто.
В этом году участие в мероприятие принимал гродненский фрик-театр «Гексоген», актеры которого в интерактивной форме рассказывали о тех людях, которые жили и погибли в гродненском гетто.
«Марш памяти» традиционно прошел от улицы Замковой до синагоги, где был организован концерт и выставка «По велению сердца», подготовленная музеем Яд Вашем (Иерусалим) при поддержке Фонда развития ООН.
