«Яндекс» представил, как выглядела бы карта метро Минска, если бы станции на ней назывались в честь местных центров притяжения — магазинов, кинотеатров, ресторанов. Новые названия станциям «присваивали» на основе анализа запросов пользователей.

Аналитики компании взяли все запросы к приложению «Яндекс.Карты» и нашли среди них те, которые задавали в радиусе 150 метров от вестибюлей метро. Для каждой станции составили топ организаций и достопримечательностей по общему числу запросов. «Яндекс» подробно объясняет, как считали.
Самым мощным магнитом часто выступает какой-нибудь большой торговый центр. Например, «Октябрьская» превратилась в «ГУМ», «Немига» — в «Галерею», «Спортивная» — в «Скалу». Некоторым станциям названия достались от расположенных поблизости кинотеатров: станция «Пролетарская» стала называться «Ракета», «Партизанская» теперь «Комсомолец», «Пушкинская» — «Аврора». Другие станции получили названия от мест, в которые людей приводит необходимость: так, «Академия наук» была переименована в «Студенческую поликлинику № 33».
Карту метро Минска с переименованными станциями теперь можно, помимо обычной, увидеть в последней версии приложения «Яндекс.Метро».
