Концерн «Калашников» 20 декабря отгрузил первую партию автоматов АК-12 для Минобороны России. Официальный сайт концерна подчекивает, что министерство — первый заказчик, получивший новейшие автоматы. Правда, это может быть не совсем так.

18 декабря в Катаре прошел военный парад. Telegram-канал «Военный обозреватель» обратил внимание на то, что катарские военные на параде были вооружены автоматом, очень похожим на российский АК-12. Увидеть их можно на видеозаписи парада (время 1.05.27).

Если это действительно так, можно сделать вывод о том, что российская армия получила новый автомат Калашникова АК-12 позже Катара. Официального подтверждения этой информации нет.

О том, что автоматы АК-12 калибра 5.45 мм и АК-15 калибра 7.62 мм были приняты на вооружение Минобороны России, стало известно в начале 2018 года. Концерн разработал оружие в рамках программы «Ратник» как один из элементов экипировки «солдата будущего».
