Новинка схожа с американским Sikorsky S-92, который легко опознать по внешним топливным бакам по обе стороны фюзеляжа, пишет Defence blog.
Z-8L может использоваться как транспортный, противолодочный или поисково-спасательный вертолет. Вероятно, испытания новой версии начались еще в 2017 году — об этом сообщают китайские источники. Но достоверной информации, как и технических характеристик этой модели, до сих пор нет. Сейчас Z-8L испытывается Народно-освободительной армией Китая.
