Около двух недель назад velcom запустил 4G/LTE-интернет. Но, судя по комментариям пользователей из соцсетей, не у всех абонентов оператора связь четвертого поколения работает хорошо. Некоторые жалуются на скорость подключения, другим представители velcom и вовсе посоветовали перейти обратно в 3G-сеть.

Мы решили проверить скорость подключения, которую может обеспечить velcom как в 3G-сети, так и при активации LTE. Напомним, что 3G-сеть у velcom собственная, а LTE-интернет работает в общей с другими мобильными операторами сети от инфраструктурного оператора beСloud.

Тесты скорости мобильного интернета у velcom мы проводили в популярном приложении Speedtest по несколько раз в каждом из режимов (3G/LTE) и выбирали лучший из результатов. Для сравнения также замеряли скорость LTE-интернета у МТС (который также работает в сети beCloud).

Отметим, что скорость подключения может зависеть от множества факторов вроде расположения вышек и их загруженности (меняется в течение дня).

Тесты проводились вечером 5 апреля в разных точках в Минске. Ниже — скриншоты с измерениями скорости в Speedtest. Они всегда идут в таком порядке: velcom (LTE), velcom (3G), МТС (LTE).

Напомним: ранее 42.TUT.BY в пресс-службе velcom рассказали, что «сотрудничество с оператором beCloud предполагает последовательное расширение 4G-покрытия и улучшение его качества за счет увеличения количества базовых станций, поддерживающих технологию 4G, а также увеличения емкости сети».
