В четверг, 13 сентября, коллективу Республиканского научно-практического центра травматологии и ортопедии представили нового директора — Михаила Герасименко, сообщает «Народная воля».
Бывший руководитель РНПЦ — академик Александр Белецкий — один из фигурантов «дела врачей», он до сих пор находится в СИЗО КГБ.
До недавнего времени Михаил Герасименко возглавлял Белорусскую академию последипломного образования, ректором которой был с октября 2014 года. В ноябре Михаилу Герасименко исполнится 45 лет. Несмотря на столь молодой возраст, он многое успел: защитил две диссертации — кандидатскую и докторскую, с 2009-го по 2012 год работал заместителем главврача 6-й городской клинической больницы Минска, с 2012-го по 2014 год — заведующим кафедрой травматологии и ортопедии Белорусского государственного медицинского университета.

Михаил Герасименко, можно сказать, ученик академика Александра Белецкого. В 2012 году Белецкий был научным консультантом докторской диссертации Герасименко «Диагностика и лечение повреждений и заболеваний коленного сустава у детей и пациентов молодого возраста». Еще один факт из биографии нового директора РНПЦ травматологии и ортопедии. В прошлом году Михаил Герасименко был в списке претендентов на звание члена-корреспондента Академии наук по специальности «хирургия», однако на Общем собрании Академии наук большинством голосов по этой специальности членом-корреспондентом был избран заместитель директора по научной работе РНПЦ неврологии и нейрохирургии Юрий Шанько.
