Российская ракета-носитель сверхтяжелого класса (СТК) «Енисей» будет собираться по принципу технологического конструктора: каждая часть этой ракеты должна быть самостоятельным летным изделием. Об этом сообщил журналистам гендиректор «Роскосмоса» Дмитрий Рогозин.

«Нужно действовать по принципу технологического „лего“: первая, вторая и третья ступени этой ракеты должны иметь свое применение, двойное или даже тройное. То есть сверхтяжелая ракета будет состоять из составных частей, каждая из которых будет иметь летную практику», — сказал Рогозин. Он добавил, что «эскизный проект ракеты будет защищен в этом году, после чего мы уже переходим к проектированию, но де-факто летные испытания ракеты СТК начнутся с 2022 года, потому что тогда начнет летать «Союз-5».
Глава «Роскосмоса» уточнил, что первая ступень сверхтяжелой ракеты-носителя будет состоять из пяти или шести блоков, являющихся первой ступенью ракеты среднего класса «Союз-5» (также известна как «Иртыш». — Прим. ТАСС). Двигатель первой ступени «Союза-5» — РД-171МВ — уже готовится к первому наземному запуску в НПО «Энергомаш».
«Вторую ступень сверхтяжелой ракеты мы предложили сделать на базе двигателя, который имеет уникальную летную статистику, — это двигатель РД-180, который с 1994 года поставляем в США. На этом двигателе летает ракета «Атлас», мы имеем 85 успешных пусков», — сказал Рогозин. Он отметил, что двигатель прошел «жесточайшую квалификацию со стороны американских инженеров, при этом этот двигатель ни разу не летал в составе российских ракет».
«Третью ступень мы планируем заимствовать у «Ангары-5В». Она будет с водородным двигателем, который увеличит общую грузоподъемность ракеты на 10 тонн — с 27 до 37 тонн», — отметил Рогозин.
