Прибывшие в квартиру модели в Сиднее полицейские обнаружили ее тело без признаков насильственной смерти. В качестве предварительной причины было названо самоубийство, пишет Daily Star.

Трагедии предшествовал болезненный развод Браакензик с супругом. Она прожила в браке с биржевым маклером Дэнни Голдбергом 16 лет, а в 2018 году стало известно об их разводе. Буквально накануне смерти модель благодарила подписчиков за поддержку и делилась с ними радостью от новоселья. 14 декабря 2018 года она сообщила о переезде в купленную в Сиднее квартиру. До этого Аннализ активно помогала благотворительному фонду по предотвращению самоубийств.
