Туристов будут судить за кражу кирпичей из концлагеря

Туристы из Венгрии пытались унести с собой кирпичи из руин крематория, на месте которого раньше находился печально известный лагерь смерти «Аушвиц-Биркенау». Пара (30-летняя женщина и 36-летний мужчина) были задержана, после того как другие туристы увидели, как они набивают сумку кирпичами.

Об этом сообщает Аруц Шева со ссылкой на заявление местной полиции.

«Мужчине и женщине было предъявлено обвинение в краже культурного наследия. Оба признались в правонарушениях» – заявил представитель полиции Матеуш Дрюль.

Туристы пояснили, что хотели привезти кирпичи в качестве сувениров и не понимали последствий своих действий. Каждый из них был оштрафован на 1500 злотых (350 евро), а также пара была условно приговорена к году тюрьмы.

Лагерь смерти «Аушвиц-Биркенау» можно считать одним из символов злодеяний нацистской Германии во время Второй Мировой войны. Именно там были зверски убиты миллионы человек.

Общее количество жертв до сих пор не установлено: по различным подсчетам это от 1 до 4 миллионов человек
