ДТП произошло 22 мая на дороге из Флоренции в Сиену. Автобус с большой группой русскоговорящих туристов, в которую входили граждане России, Армении, Казахстана, Украины, Беларуси, Молдовы и Румынии — всего 60 человек, съехал с дороги и перевернулся. Одна женщина погибла, еще 19 человек получили травмы, восемь из них находятся в тяжелом состоянии.
Как выяснили итальянские СМИ, погибшая — 40-летняя женщина-гид.
