На кладбище в агрогородке Холмеч Речицкого района только вчера отпевали 70-летнего Анатолия Ефимчика, а сегодня хоронят его сына, милиционера Ваню. Один умер от болезни, а второй неожиданно для всех повесился, не дождавшись даже похорон собственного отца.

Вот что об инциденте в Холмече официально говорит СК: «Утром 23 октября на берегу реки Днепр в Речицком районе местным рыбаком был обнаружен висящий в петле мужчина. На место происшествия выбывала следственно-оперативная группа».
Погибший — 36-летний сотрудник милиции, живший в Речице.
— По службе мужчина характеризовался положительно. Предварительно установлено, что он покончил жизнь самоубийством на фоне сильных переживаний в связи со смертью его отца, который скончался после болезни, — сообщили в СК.
Семью Ефимчик в Холмече здесь знает каждый: глава семейства был уважаемым человеком, офицером в отставке, работал на Севере. Его жена, Антонина Ивановна, много лет подряд занимала должность директора в местной школе.
По рассказам местных, Иван был идеальным сыном, обожал своих родителей. Работал в Речице в департаменте охраны.
— Год назад батька его слег, так он из Речицы с работы — и сюда, здесь, можно сказать, жил, и отца доглядал, и хозяйство. Все хозяйство было на нем, и трактор купил, и постоянно на огороде, — говорят в деревне. — Он же венок батьке купил, но сам уже на кладбище не принес.
В деревне вспоминают, что в день, когда домой привезли тело отца, Иван выпил, а затем возле магазина повздорил с местными парнями. Была драка — и продавцы, мол, даже разнимали мужчин. После этого Ивана никто не видел.
Наутро рыбак нашел его повешенным у Днепра за деревней.
