Итальянские специалисты выяснили, что уровень окситоцина, гормона доверия, повышается после обсуждения других людей. В ходе эксперимента ученые спровоцировали посплетничать хорошо знакомых между собой девушек. Участницы исследований говорили о предполагаемой беременности общей приятельницы. У них взяли пробы слюны и попросили заполнить анкеты.
Анализ слюны показал, что мощный выброс окситоцина вырабатывался при обсуждении слуха. Из-за разговора о чужих тайнах изменился гормональный фон.
Биохимическая реакция организма, как полагают авторы работы, свидетельствует о том, что в эволюции человека сплетни играют важную роль. Удовольствие от обмена секретами и общения влияло на жизнь предков. Они таким образом поддерживали доверие между собой, в больших группах устанавливали неформальные правила жизни.
Склонность к пересудам, как утверждают специалисты, не зависит от пола и возраста. И женщины, и мужчины, распространяют слухи, а дети учатся этому еще до школы.
